Phoebe's six month check up

So Pat took Pheebs to her check up and she's right on course for being a tall girl. She is 28 inches tall and weighs 16.4 pounds. She is 97th percentile in height but only 75th in weight and head circumference. That doesn't surprise me since her daddy has a small head, too :)

She had a bit of diaper rash but her pediatrician wasn't that concerned about it. We had been keeping it clean and dry and had been putting her diaper cream on it but it hadn't been helping. So I called the nurse and she was concerned with my description of it. Pat took her back in for a check up and as it turns out it's not diaper rash, it's a yeast infection. So now we have a medicated cream and have been doing our best to keep it really clean and covered with her cream, but it's still looking worse. I am going to give it another day and then I'll call the doc back.

I feel so bad for Phoebe. Nothing seems to really bother her but this is starting to get her down a little, I think. She's getting more and more squirmy and a bit cranky, which is completely unlike her. Hopefully it clears up soon.

In my updates, school is out in 3 weeks and then the fam is off to Seattle. I am REALLY looking forward to it. Once school is out I will have a lot more time to post lots of pictures and give lots of updates.
